Energy modeling various options for the building envelope
helped inform architectural decisions, allowing greater amounts
of glass on select exposures while keeping the building
on track for LEED Silver Certification.

New high efficiency chiller and boiler plants
are key to driving down energy use and enabling
the hospital to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
Numerous options for onsite energy generation
were investigated including wind turbines,
photovoltaic and gas fired cogeneration plant.
